My paintings are joyful expressions of the interconnections between living things. My images explore the positive emotional connections through color and form. I push these boundaries in my paintings. As a portrait artist, my focus is on the individual. That bias is reflected in my paintings of human beings, animals, plants and underwater life. The most distinguishing element of my style a sensitivity to light's color subtlties. My painting style can be called a form of "painterly realism. The rich colors of South Florida in its tropical environment influence the subject matter I choose and the colors I use. |
